Are you a ceramist, were you born or reside in a member state of the European Union?

 

The Friends of Keramis are launching a call for applications for their Young Ceramics Residence Prize 2023.

 

The purpose of this prize is to introduce an artist and to support them by offering them the possibility of working in residence at Keramis (time to be fixed by mutual agreement between spring 2023 and spring 2024) with the aim of producing an original work mainly in ceramics.

 

The return is envisaged in the spring of 2024.

REGISTRATION //

 

To register, please complete the online form and read the rules.

 

 

 

You will be asked in particular:  

 

  • yourcurriculum vitaecomplete

  • a presentation of a maximum of 3,000 signs of your artistic approach in general

  • a note of intent of a maximum of 6,000 characters describing the project to be carried out in Keramis and its relevance to the place

  • visuals of 5 works

 

Applications must be submitted until Sunday January 15, 2023 inclusive.

CONDITIONS OF ADMISSION //

 

  • have a basic training in ceramics

  • be born or reside in a member state of the European Union

SELECTION PROCEDURE //

 

As soon as the call for applications closes, the jury will meet to choose the artist who will win the Prix Résidence Jeune Céramique 2023.

 

The announcement of the winner will be made on Friday February 10, 2023 at the opening of the exhibition of the artist Daniel Pontoreau,before the landscape.

 

The decision will also be communicated by email no later than February 13, 2023.

THE PRICE //

 

The selected person will have:

  • the specialized Keramis workshop (lathe, electric oven, enameling cabin, etc.) and the support of the ceramicist technician

  • accommodation within the museum for a maximum of 50 nights

  • a fixed per diem of €20/day for a maximum of 50 days

  • a budget of €1,000 for the acquisition of materials and raw materials necessary for the production of a ceramic work
