ORIENTALISM IN BOCH CREATIONS AND CONTEMPORARY ART
From Saturday 21 December 2019 to Sunday 23 August 2020, rediscover the permanent collections at Keramis, which contain over 8,000 pieces, by following a trail through the Orientalism found in Boch creations and contemporary art.
After shining a spotlight on female artists and marking the 150th anniversary of the city of La Louvière, this trail focuses on pieces produced by the old Boch factory that were inspired by Orientalism. Several items are being brought out of our precious reserve collection for this occasion only.
Orientalism is used here in the widest sense of the term since this trail explores the particular influences of China, Japan and the Middle East.
You can be accompanied along the trail by a visitor guide, which is available free of charge from the reception desk. Special signs have also been created for the trail.
