ALICE LOTHON. GRANDE OURSE

From December 4, 2021 to March 13, 2022, Keramis invites you to discover the first major solo exhibition of French artist Alice Lothon.

A graduate of the Beaux-Arts de Paris and the only ceramist member of La Ruche, a city of artists in the heart of the Montparnasse district, Alice Lothon is a visual artist whose practice oscillates between collage and ceramics, figure and writing.

In 2019, she participated for the first time in the contemporary ceramic fair,  C14-PARIS  and wins the Residence Prize. Since spring 2020, Alice Lothon has been traveling back and forth between La Ruche and Keramis to design the Grande Ourse exhibition.

For this exhibition, Alice Lothon draws her inspiration from the museum's rich collections, Belgian surrealism and tarot, this card game with divinatory and mystical properties. Thus, each tarot card is transformed into a useful object.
