Ceramics courses, workshops for families, birthday tea and ceramics workshop for children, family cinemuseum, an end-of-collection wind down for children... There’s no chance of children or families being bored at Keramis!
The education department at Keramis produces a visitor guide for each temporary exhibition plus a guide containing games for our youngest visitors. These are available free of charge from the reception desk.

THE TOUR WHERE YOU ARE THE GUIDE!

For each temporary exhibition, the Keramis educational department produces a visitor's guide as well as a guide for the youngest with games. These are given free of charge at the museum reception.
In 2020, CERA, one of the largest cooperatives in Belgium, is granting Keramis an exceptional subsidy for the creation of a transmission object aimed at raising children's awareness of art and heritage.
The booklet for young people was imagined and designed by the museum's educational team, the graphic design studio Signes du Quotidien and the illustrator Julie Gelon, winners of the call for projects initiated by Keramis.
2 versions have been developed: one aimed at schools with activities that can be carried out in class, the other at families. The booklets are available in 4 languages (French, Dutch, English and German).
Ask for your game book at the museum reception, it is free for children!
BIRTHDAYS
Wednesdays, 2pm to 5pm (subject to availability)
A birthday treat in an astonishing place combining fun, discovery and a desire to learn.
After a fun visit to Keramis where children learn all about the museum through play, there is an opportunity to have an introduction to working clay, led by our ceramicist (involving a clay coil, slabs or the wheel). All kinds of different ways to ensure everyone’s curiosity is met.
