Exploring the world of games, Jean-Baptiste Fastrez collaborated with the Manufacture de Sèvres in 2011 by creating the family of Gris-gris or talismans. This series of seven roly-poly toys combines miniature vases made by turning and decorated with different colours in painting, and a custom assembly of the metal part produced with the precision characterising the manufacture's workshops. The fruit of the collaboration between Jean-Baptiste Fastrez and Brynjar Sigurdarson, The Trophy is a reflection on the object as a cultural gesture resulting from a game of wit and construction. In the form of a stick, these trophies can evoke a relay baton, a king's sceptre, or a warrior's spear. It can be hung on the wall and its hollow shape can contain a certificate.
