Initially referring to a set of physical phenomena and later to the technical sector designed to utilise them, energy is now synonymous with political, economic, and environmental stakes. Inseparable from artistic activity in general, it is present at every stage of the creation of a ceramic object. In 2022, following on from the war in Ukraine, supply disruptions of Russian gas to Europe heavily impacted the ceramic and glass industries.
